Specialising and Exhibiting
Week9-Expanded Studio Practice for Twenty-First Century Sound Artists
I am keeping working on my 7 sound installations at the moment though I trying to focus more on the multi-channel piece for my element 1 submission. I finished most of my installations in a very primary way and recorded most of them. I used Ableton live to edit their voices and applied them to touch designer, which would be me my handing for Milo.

I began to think about how the receiver would receive information from the producer(artist) with signs. The hardest thing is to control the audience’s thinking because we all have different considerations in the world. We all have different definitions.
Hearing

I recorded the sound from binaural ears and I edited it with Ableton live. The sound from the umbrella was physical movements.
Smell

The nose in the vision is regarding the alcohol detector I made. I found the sound from the alcohol detector would be saved on my laptop so I just uploaded them into this vision.

Taste

It takes time how to make the pan flute into a real copper version. It spends a long time on cutting them into the right length and I accidentally make all of my two hands with glue which is very annoying.

I played ebow on my strum stick guitar and mixed it with the sound of electric guitar and dilruba.
Proprioception

I used dpa microphones to record my heartbeat and I recorded my brainwaves from Ableton live. I simulated a handspan in max so I could connect the muse port to my own midi generator.
Touch

I used to touch me to dub this sense and I find it quite cool. and I used the same midi as the “sight”.

Vestibular

I recorded my body movements and this rain wood instrument by using dpa and contact mics. I think it transferred the message through diverse body joints.

I see it as a single project now. But I will add the sounds I made through another two speakers to make my multichannel work more abundant.
